July is on the way!

First, let me say, I had a fabulous time in New York! I ate at two wonderful restaurants. One was called Brooklyn Diner. I had a chicken club sandwich that was so delicious! One of my friends had a chicken pot pie that was out of this world. I will have to post some pictures! The other restaurant is owned by Bobby Flay and called Bar Americain. It was exquisite. I had a fabulous ribeye steak that was cooked to perfection. I also had friend green tomatoes and sweet potatoes. For dessert I choose the chocolate banana crepes with hazelnuts. Good. However, the German chocolate cake was definitely the hit with our group! It was a wonderful experience being with friends, enjoying the city, enjoying the moment.

So, on to July...it's not that far away and I have a wonderful cake to help you with your Fourth of July celebrations. The cake is topped with whipped cream icing and berries. The cake itself can be white, chocolate, or strawberry. Let me know if this is something you might want for your celebration!

May God bless you in a special way today.

Summer berries

Hey friends,

Even though I am heading out on vacation for a few days, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to those who are supporting me with prayer and your business!

The blueberries sure have been good this year! I hope you are serving them up at your house. Add them to a salad to add a little sweetness. I like to eat them frozen; so good on a hot day.

They are making up a scrumptious pie too! Let me know if you are needing one; now is the time to enjoy this little blue berry.

I'm off to New York City tomorrow!
Happy days and God bless.

A New Business

A new adventure....I turned 50 years old this year and decided to start doing a little more of the things I always considered a hobby: baking and cooking. I hope to be able to grow my business by just getting the word out to friends and other bloggers! Not only will I share what's cooking this week, but I hope to share recipes as well.

SUMMERTIME means berries....This month's special is strawberry/rhubarb cobbler and blueberry pies. Cobblers can be made to serve from 4-12 depending on your need.

Daily Dinner Specials: Need a meal ready to serve your family? I can help make meals a little easier by offering ready to serve entrees. These can be frozen and re-heated quickly allowing you a homemade meal to serve your family.

Baked Ziti-made with meat and italian sausage, cheese and my homemade sauce!

Mexican Casserole- corn tortillas, meat, mild or spicy sauce and lots of cheese makes this a tasty meal!

Chicken and rice- a savory dish with mushrooms, onions, and long-grained rice.

Chicken salad- Try something cool on a hot day. This salad is made with grapes, celery, onion and pecans. (Nuts are optional)

Have company coming and need a pot roast with all the trimmings? Contact me and we can make arrangements to have it hot and ready to serve.

I am also available to cater your next event!
